For the still young market of renewable energy, ideally only particularly environmentally compatible coating materials should be used. For us, this means modern, high-quality corrosion protection systems with a very low VOC content and, of course, free of heavy metals, benyzl alcohol, tar, anthracene oil and plasticisers. Here, not only the corrosion protection properties should be considered, but also the highest ecological requirements for the coating system.

When developing the first 2-component cartridge corrosion protection repair system available on the market in 2012, we worked together with a wind farm operator to develop the product AB-COR® 950 SW Repair, which is cited as a benchmark when it comes to corrosion protection, repairs and offshore.

Wind turbines are exposed to the most extreme climatic and weather conditions and should be protected particularly well and sustainably due to the required service lives of 20 to 25 years. RWE's in-house testing institute has already tested some AB-COR® qualities intensively and thoroughly over a long period of time and granted the corresponding product approvals.
